We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our second online training programme – ‘TriFit’. This is our new video-based app and online training system aimed at Triathletes who are serious about improving performance, technique and preventing injury. Last autumn we started filming in Chamonix with Keith Partridge, our international award winning adventure cameraman and Fiona Ford, Triathlon coach and founder of Triathlon Europe. Keith brought with him his new gyro camera (a new piece of equipment that ensures image and video stabilization) and we had great fun running around the Chamonix valley finding the best shots for our promotional video which also includes guest appearances from our very own Rachael and Tony Lowe. Since then Tony has been working tirelessly editing video and designing the new ‘TriFit’ section on our website. The rest of us have been writing content and planning how we’re going to spread news of the programme to the World. The ‘TriFit’ programme is split into the three disciplines of Swim, Bike and Run, and each section contains guided exercises covering screening, prehab, core work, drills and stretching.
Our star of the videos, Neil Maclean-Martin said “Triathlon is an endurance sport and is based on consistency of training, if you don’t have that day on day training you will not fulfil your potential as a Triathlete. TriFit is an overall programme that you can incorporate into your training. We want you to go away with confidence in your movement, ending up a better athlete because you’re moving faster because you’re more efficient and also picking up fewer injuries. It never ceases to amaze me that I see the little imperfections in people’s movement that I think have led to common injuries and that could have been prevented.”
We’re so excited about it and we hope you’ll enjoy it too …
